Please send lunch, a snack, and water with your child!

Afternoon classes begin AFTER lunch!

DRAWING/WATER-COLOR - Give your child the opportunity to learn drawing with an artist!  In this class, your child will learn the principles of drawing such as proportion, ratio, balance, weight, movement, and composition.  We will also practice techniques such as blending, shading, stippling, hatching, cross-hatching and contour drawing.  Students will utilize and learn the difference between an HB and a 4B pencil.  We will also experiment with chalk, charcoal, oil and chalk pastels, blending stomps, kneaded erasers and more!

FITNESS - Students will use a variety of equipment to promote physical wellness and psychomotor skills.  There will be an emphasis on group collaboration.  Students will learn to function as a team through group games and challenges.

SCULPTURE - Students will learn about, explore and use the elements of art - line, shape, form, tone, texture, pattern, color and composition - to create three-dimensional artwork in this class!

HISTORY- Who doesn't love hands-on history?!  Many pictures were posted to our Facebook page last year so check out the fun learning that was had by experiencing history instead of memorizing facts.  This year we will focus on the Middle Ages from the Byzantines to the Explorers and everyone in between!

FITNESS - Students will use a variety of equipment to promote physical wellness and psychomotor skills.  There will be an emphasis on group collaboration.  Students will learn to function as a team through group games and challenges.

STORY ART- After listening to a treasured read-aloud, children will be inspired to create a masterpiece of their own!  Various media and techniques will be used in class.  Examples include creating chalk art after listening to Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost and creating a turtle from air-dry clay after listening to I'll Follow the Moon by Stephanie Lisa Tara.
