Currently attending My Village students are invitied to enroll in our Chess Club which is held after class hours from 3:30-4:20. 

In addition to being able to play chess with each other, we have paid for a unique online program created by a professional chess player, Steven Bloom. Some of our students have had online lessons with Mr. Bloom and we have seen that he is an excellent teacher and keeps the kids interested. This program is recommended for ages 6 and up therefore Chess Club is available for our Primary B, C, Tween classes.

• 36 chess strategy lessons which will be played during the clubs
• Interactive learning
• Animation to help understand key concepts
• Colored arrows and highlighting of pieces to enhance visualization
• Access to 3 weekly Bonus Tournament in private group
• Knowledge retention quizzes after each lesson

Chess Club will meet typically twice a month, every other Monoday or every other Tuesday. Meeting days will be added to the calendar as a reminder, however, you do not have to sign up for each time.

How to Register

Email Tresa which day of the week you'd like your child registered, Mondays or Tuesdays, and she will add your child to the roster. [email protected]

Payment 

$150 for the school year (non-refundable) which is due by August 1st or upon registration (if after August 1st.)

Scholarship student class fee can be paid via the EMA Portal when 2024-25 funding is available.
